Who am I?
|
I can imagine you're wondering who that snookerfreak is. Let me introduce myself
here. In this text I will regularly use
hyperlinks to
(mainly) Wikipedia for more
information.
These
hyperlinks

Purely intended as a bonus. I am Hilbert van Dijk, born in 1966 and living in Wolvega. I was working as a professional traffic controller, working throughout Netherlands. Unfortunately I am due to Long Covid incapacitated for work. I have been at home since November 4, 2020 with many complaints, such as persistent fatigue, insomnia, memory and concentration problems and more complaints. Ever since 1985 I play the best sport there is. That same year, I watched until late in the night to the Snooker World Cup in Sheffield, where I saw Dennis Taylor win from Steve Davis and became world champion (click here for the last frame of the final). Fun fact: at the time, the misrule not yet applied. That rule simply wasn't in the regulations yet included. And yes: that illustrious final led to the biggest addiction in my life. But a very nice addiction. I am currently playing very active. You can find me (almost) every Tuesday evening in SPC Heerenveen. I am also the organizer of the (by many praised) house tournaments. And of course I keep all the results of that on this website. |
